I’m Coti and I’m a music journalist who spends entirely too much time on social media. I love all genres of music but have grown up around country and that’s the inspiration behind this Beefitarian recipe! I was inspired by Jake Owen’s “Beachin’” – because I really miss the beach. The song inspired me to add a grilled pineapple on top of a sweet & spicy burger that’s stuffed with spicy pepper jack cheese.
Jake Owen Beachin’ Burger
Ingredients
1 lb ground sirloin
3/4 C breadcrumbs
4 tbsp Worcestershire
1 tsp salt
Dash pepper
1 tsp creole seasoning
Pepper Jack cheese (varies)
Sweet & Spicy BBQ sauce (to taste)
Wheat Buns
Pineapple Rings (one per burger)
Caramelized Onions (to taste)
Instructions
Wet the pound of ground beef with the Worcestershire and combine. Add the breadcrumbs and combine. Then, add in the salt, pepper and creole seasoning. Combine these until your burgers are the desired consistency.
Form a small patty with your hands and add a slice or a half slice (depending on your love for cheese) of pepper jack cheese to the top of it.
Form another small patty and place it on top of the cheese. Then mold that all around to form a thick burger. Do this for the rest of the ground sirloin.
Once your grill is heated, add your pineapple, burgers and buns.
When your burger is ready to be flipped, grab your favorite sweet & spicy BBQ sauce and coat your burger to your liking.
Remove everything from the grill.
Add the burger to the bun and top it with a grilled pineapple ring and as many caramelized onions as you’d like! Enjoy!
